THREE IN A ROW  !! -  Pete's painting -  "Ethereal Dances"  Great Egrets  - has  been selected among the 115 finalists from an international entry of 922 works for the prestigious 2010 Birds In Art 2010 Exhibition, at Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wasau, Wisconsin, USA.  This is three consecutive years that Pete has had a painting selected for this most prestigious exhibition, the pinnacle of bird art worldwide.

 

Art Aspects
Pete has been a feature artist for the Australian Artist magazine, and her work has been reproduced on many issues of the Australian Veterinary Journal. Her work is also the cover for the book The Birds of Box Hill.¹

Pete has served on the Council of The Wildlife Art Society of Australasia where she was Exhibition Director - a position she has held for several years. She has also received an Australia Day Award for service to art. She is a qualified Veterinary Surgeon, and runs a Wildlife Rehabilitation Shelter

Commissions include a  series of stamps of Leopard Seals in Antarctica for Australia Post  , a poster for the Australian Platypus Conservancy, painting of Comb Crested Jacanas for the RSPCA Wildlife Calendar 2002, and  murals at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.

14 Painted Awards for major class winners for National Weimaraner Championship Show, together with prints and plates for minor awards.

Painted Awards for the 2006 National Dalmatian Championship Show, together with prints, plates and glass tiles for the class and minor awards.

Painting for the Highland Cattle Association Championship Show.
